Lautz Lassig Custom Builders suggests you start with a visit with them and maybe an idea of the area you want to build in. We operate in many area but primarily in La Crosse, Onalaska, Holmen, West Salem, Sparta, ………
First is finding a house plan, you could go to plans on line and run a search. But if you’d rather not do website research, just give us a call at 608-786-2535 and we’ll discuss your needs, wants and must have’s and come up with a plan that is just right for you.
Once you have agreed on a plan and budget you need to get your financing in place and a lot purchased if you have not already done so. After your those are in place the fun begins! You will watch it unfold day by day as the house becomes your home. Here is a very basic shell of what happens.
- Prep the lot and pour foundation
- Rough framing
- Plumbing, electrical and HVAC
- Insulation
- Drywall
- Interior finishes and trim
- Exterior work
- Final details
- Flooring
- Final inspection and walk through
- Punch list
